Qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1992, working in professional services and for the last 28 years have been with BearingPoint, currently as regional CFO covering Ireland, UK, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Italy and the Netherlands.  BearingPoint has c 6,500 employees global in 25 countries. In 2002 the Consulting business of KPMG demerged from the audit and tax business of KPMG (and became BearingPoint) and that started my deep dive journey into our corporate pension scheme.  I was appointed an employee trustee in 2004 (while our scheme was initiated in Nov/2000). Our trust was always administered by an external administrator and over time we replaced our own trustees with that of a professional trustee.  In 2015 we moved to a delegated DC scheme.  In 2023 we moved our life cover to a separate trust and our pension is now with the Irish Life Master Trust.
